DESCRIPTION:Join us for an exclusive presentation by Olympic Track Cyclist for Team Canada – CARSON MATTERN!\n\nCarson will be joining us virtually from his training base in Europe to give us a day-by-day recap of his experience at the Paris Olympics\, with personal photos and video. The presentation will be followed up by a live Q&A to learn more about Carson’s current training regime and the upcoming racing season.\n\nSummit Station is proud to financially support Carson and his fundraising efforts. All ticket sales from this event will be donated to CANFUND – an organization that financially supports our Canadian athletes.\n\nLocation: Summit Station Event Room\nLight refreshments will be served\n\n“Hi\, I’m Carson Mattern – Olympic track cyclist for Team Canada –\nSomething you might be surprised to learn is that most Canadian athletes have to pay thousands of dollars out of their own pockets in order to compete in their own sport\, even at the Olympic level. This is in addition to general living expenses\, such as housing\, transportation and other expenses not covered by our national sport’s associations. I mean\, just try to imagine what a 5000 calorie-a-day diet looks like on a grocery bill…\nSince training to represent Canada at the Olympics is already a full time job\, the CANFund provides a lifeline for us.
