DESCRIPTION:Join us on a tour of the farm! One of our farmers will walk you through the barns to see the cows and explain how we care for our herd. You’ll have a chance to get up close and personal with our baby calves\, and we’ll bring you into the parlour to see the milking in action. Throughout the tour try and spot our mascot\, the real-life ‘Valentina the Heart Cow’! \nThis is a walking tour lasting about 75 minutes. \nPlease dress for the weather (cold\, wet\, etc.) as most of the tour is outside. You will be provided boot/shoe covers that must be worn throughout the tour. \nThe tour is suitable for strollers\, walkers and wheelchairs\, but please be aware there are uneven surfaces. While we love our pets\, the cows sometimes get nervous around them – so unfortunately dogs are not allowed. \nSummitholm is an active working farm. For your safety\, as well as the safety of our staff and animals\, visitors are not allowed to wander the barns unaccompanied. Signing up for one of our guided tours is the best way to see the cows and learn about modern dairy farming. \nChildren under 2 are free.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for an exclusive presentation by Olympic Track Cyclist for Team Canada – CARSON MATTERN!\n\nCarson will be joining us virtually from his training base in Europe to give us a day-by-day recap of his experience at the Paris Olympics\, with personal photos and video. The presentation will be followed up by a live Q&A to learn more about Carson’s current training regime and the upcoming racing season.\n\nSummit Station is proud to financially support Carson and his fundraising efforts. All ticket sales from this event will be donated to CANFUND – an organization that financially supports our Canadian athletes.\n\nLocation: Summit Station Event Room\nLight refreshments will be served\n\n“Hi\, I’m Carson Mattern – Olympic track cyclist for Team Canada –\nSomething you might be surprised to learn is that most Canadian athletes have to pay thousands of dollars out of their own pockets in order to compete in their own sport\, even at the Olympic level. This is in addition to general living expenses\, such as housing\, transportation and other expenses not covered by our national sport’s associations. I mean\, just try to imagine what a 5000 calorie-a-day diet looks like on a grocery bill…\nSince training to represent Canada at the Olympics is already a full time job\, the CANFund provides a lifeline for us. The non-for-profit organization was able to give money to over 80% of all Canadian athletes competing at the Paris Olympic and Paralympic games.\nCANFund is 100% reliant on support from donors and with the 2025 sports season quickly approaching\, I want to pay it forward by giving back to the organization which gave to me and so many others. 100% of the proceeds will go toward this charity.\nYou are supporting ALL Canadian athletes across all sports as we chase greatness.
